Blackbury Camp

This is a hidden gem of a place at any time of year but truly magical in April and May when it is covered by a carpet of bluebells. It is an Iron Age fort that is surrounded by beech trees, providing a safe & enclosed wooded area.

Good For:

Peace and tranquility & listening to the birds.

Bluebells in spring, autumnal colour in, well, autumn.

Longer walks in stunning countryside if you’d like to stretch you legs further.

Maybe best to avoid if:

You need to consider a wheelchair. (Pushchairs are manageable but it is tricky on bumpy ground).

You want general facilities like toilets or a cafe.

(Dogs must be kept on a lead)
