Weddings

You really captured the essence of the day and the emotion without ever being intrusive. That is a real skill.

Small Wedding Photographer in Devon

Congratulations on your engagement! Exciting times ahead.

If you’re being honest, are you feeling a little overwhelmed by the thought of planning a big event, not to mention the cost that goes with that?

The truth is, not everyone wants, or needs, a massive venue, huge guest list and a photographer in tow for the entire day.

Your wedding should be what you want it to be. Some of the most memorable days are the simplest — an intimate ceremony in a small venue, a gathering with close family, or a quiet countryside celebration followed by dinner together.

Small weddings have a different rhythm. They’re personal, emotional and wonderfully unhurried — which is why I love to photograph them.

I offer relaxed, natural photography for intimate celebrations.

Relaxed Photography for Intimate Weddings

My approach is calm and unobtrusive. I won’t overly direct the day, but I’ll gently guide you when needed so you feel comfortable and at ease.

I focus on real moments — the hand squeezes, the laughter, the quiet exchanges you don’t even realise are happening.

The result is a set of images that feel natural, refined and timeless. Pictures you’ll want to look back on year after year.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Whilst I specialise in small weddings and intimate celebrations in Exeter and across Devon, I do also do bigger events on occasion. It’s not my main focus but I’m always happy to have a chat and see if we’re right for each other.

  • There’s no set rule to this, but I generally class ‘small’ or ‘micro’ as under 50 people. Sometimes it’s just family. other times a group of close friends come along too. Small enough to feel intimate basically.

  • Wherever you’d like! Whilst my usual patch is Devon, I do go further afield. Let me know where your event is and I can provide a quote for you.

  • Yes, I do. The Registry Office is very accommodating for photographers and the grounds offer great scope for beautiful photographs afterwards.

  • Small weddings are often planned more quickly than larger ones, but popular dates — especially spring and summer weekends — can still book up several months in advance. The best thing is to get in touch as soon as you know your date.

  • Absolutely! If your plans change or you decide you'd like me to stay a little longer, additional time can usually be added. When we first start planning, I’ll discuss what kind of thing you are hoping for but if you later decide you’d like long then that’s absolutely fine. I’d never book another session on the same day as your wedding, so I can adjust as required.

  • Yes. I offer beautifully crafted fine art albums for couples who would love a printed keepsake of their day. These can be added once you’ve seen your final gallery. Likewise, if you’d like prints or wall art, I can do that too.

You really want quality photographs to remember your special day, but can’t afford the price tag?
